Sotto: \u201cGed. der Salz. Emigranten 1732\u201d. Raffigurazione del Principe Federico Guglielmo I sul retro con testo sul bordo: \u201cFriedr. Wilh. D.G. Rex. Borussia et Br.\u201d All'interno, 17 acqueforti rotonde, numerate ed elaborate a colori a mano, con raffigurazioni della vita religiosa nel Salisburghese; ognuna ha un'iscrizione in alto con la corrispondente citazione biblica o riferimento. Verso: Rappresentazioni a colori con fiori, pittura a mano libera. Le singole foglie erano disposte in modo circolare con barre di collegamento, con una raffigurazione del Buon Pastore al centro. (Barre di collegamento parzialmente rotte, vedere foto), due mappe colorate incollate all'interno del coperchio, etichettate \u201cERZSTIFFT. SALZBURG\u201d e \u201cHERZOGTH. LITHAUEN\u201d, una delle quali \u00e8 firmata \u201cAbraham Remschard exc. Aug. Vindel\u201d (firma Abraham Remschart anche sul n. 17), complete per un totale di 19 acqueforti colorate. Immagine n. 4 con macchie blu.<\/p>\n<p>Dopo anni di rappresaglie contro la minoranza protestante, il principe-vescovo di Salisburgo Leopold Anton von Firmian eman\u00f2 un editto di emigrazione il 31 ottobre 1731, che espelleva dal paese tutti i non cattolici. Nella primavera del 1732, oltre 20.000 protestanti dall'intera Abbazia di Salisburgo dovettero lasciare la loro patria. Furono accolti in Prussia, tra le altre zone: il re Federico Guglielmo I concesse agli immigrati salisburghesi condizioni favorevoli per il loro insediamento in Prussia Orientale. Da un lato, ottenne la ricolonizzazione delle terre spopolate dalla peste e, dall'altro, fu anche in grado di affermarsi come leader del movimento protestante in Germania e in Europa. La popolazione prussiana accolse con entusiasmo gli \u201cesiliati\u201d. Oltre a sermoni, opere a stampa, poesie, canzoni e d\u00e9pliant, in questo periodo furono create queste medaglie con cicli iconografici per rendere pubblico il destino degli sfollati.
