Het Christuskind heeft een relatief groot hoofd om zijn wijsheid uit te drukken. Maria's haar is sober gestyled, terwijl het Christuskind weelderige krullen heeft. De plooien en de gelaatsuitdrukking duiden op een vroege fase in de gotische periode.<\/p>\n<p>De plooien van de mantel zijn min of meer S-vormig; een kenmerk van de vroege \u2018internationale\u2019 gotische stijl. Het beeld is waarschijnlijk gemaakt door een meestersculptor uit een betere stadswerkplaats in Noord-Frankrijk.
