This intimate devotional sculpture shows the Virgin Mary holding the Christ Child close to her chest, supporting his feet with her left hand. The gently modelled face, stylised hair, and restrained posture reflect the transitional style between the late Renaissance and early Baroque. Executed in warm-toned boxwood, the piece likely served as a private devotional object.

Condition: The Christ Child is missing his right arm and has various restorations; restorations to Mary`s hands.
