“Vetus Testamentum” from the Septuagint translation, according to the Vatican edition from Rome, newly and very carefully revised together with the commentaries of the same edition, various codices of variant readings from ancient manuscripts and copies, as well as fragments of the translations by Aquila, Symmachus, and Theodotion.

Preface of 42 pages (xlii) + 1326 pages, red and black printed title page in Greek and Latin, illustrated with 6 folding black-and-white engraved plates, prologue in both Latin and Greek, the main text entirely in Greek. Overall, an attractive edition in good condition, full vellum binding, gilt rules to front and rear covers, 5 raised bands on the spine, blind-stamped coat of arms of Hageae Comitus (The Hague), quarto format.

- Map of the Holy Land (Terrae Canaan), double-page.
- World map by J. Moxon, hydrographum (the English cartographer 1627–1691), on a double-page spread.

Some minimal damages. The dedication page has been removed for privacy reasons by the previous owner. Some staining and wear to the vellum binding due to age.
An attractive work particularly because of the rare world map.
