Painting of a praying hermit with book ( bible), skull (Memento Mori), Cruxifix with Corpus Christi, Rosary, Waterjug and Hourglass (Tempus Fugit = use your time well).
Oil on a bevelled oak panel. Follower of Jan Adriaenszoon van Staveren ( Leiden 1614-1669)
Black frame of later date.
