Description

9 Rare handcoloured engravings from the geographical card game ‘Voyage dans les cinq parties du monde’ by Johann Georg Klinger (1764-1806), a German map, globe and game maker, considered the most prominent globe maker of his generation, and Johann Wolfgang Müller (1765-1828), a German educator and publisher of playing cards abd other games.

The game featured one world map and a map of Europe, Asia, Africa, North America and Australia, and representations of various indiginous peoples living in these continents. The game could be played in three different ways and was designed to make it possible for the players to travel the world.
