Altarpiece with adoration of the child Jesus by the shepherds in neo-gothic style.
Depiction of the adoration of the newborn child Jesus in a manger. At the left Mother Mary – with long blonde hair – is kneeling. Behind her Saint Joseph with his hat in his hand.
At the right an older shepherd with a long grey beard making a gesture of blessing. A second standing shepherd is playing his bagpipe decorated with a lions mask.
Excellent piece of woodcarving made around 1870 by a skilled caver in Northern Europe (probably Netherlands or Germany)
Full original polychromy with traces of wear.
